Hotel: Athens Studios
From Fozzee.net
Athens Studios is a suite style "hotel" affiliated with Athens Backpackers, a local hostel. The Studios are actually down the road a ways from the hostel, but share ownership, management and Breakfast. The studios are a bit more expensive, with prices based on number of beds and whatnot, but they are quite reasonable.
The rooms are clean and nicely equipped. At first, it felt a bit like we were living in an Ikea room-set. Our living room had a sofa and table, while the bedroom had a "full" bed and a wire-mesh "dresser". Both the bedroom and the living room had nice balconies, with the livingroom balcony being almost as big as the livingroom itself. There was a table and pair of chairs outside, where we enjoyed dinner one night.
As far appliances, the suite had a nice kitchen including a two-burner stove, microwave,mini-fridge, and a full compliment of dishes. The suite also had a small LCD TV and air conditioning separate in each room.
One thing that the room did not have, as evidenced by the first photo below, was a night latch. I decided that if anyone was coming in, they were going to make a heck of a racket, and I wasn't going to make it easy.
