Long Time No Post

So I was working on the Jetta last night, trying to fix some wonky-ness with my temperature gauge... The guys at the Vortex indicated that it's probably a coolant temp sensor. No problem, I figured... Well, it wasn't so much a problem as a mess... Suffice to say, the sensor came out before I intended it to, and dumped quite a lot of coolant on the garage floor... I ended up using a shopvac to suck most of it up. I will note that it did fix my problem, though. Lesson learned: If your Jetta's temp gauge is all bouncing around and stuff, replace the coolant temp sensor, just be prepared to deal with the coolant (either drain it, have a plan to plug the hole between sensor swaps, etc.) I'll be posting more detail on this soon.
