This page is for information on my UTStarcom PPC 6700, also known as the HTC Apache. This device is available for a variety of carriers including Alltel, Sprint (my personal choice, and Verizon. Verizon now carries the successor, the PPC 6800 (Mogul), which is essentially just a pimped out version of the 6700 (more internal memory, a 2MP digital camera, and just some general restyling).
Buy this phone from Amazon here: PCS Phone Audiovox PPC-6700 (Sprint) as Sprint stores no longer can get them in, pending the release of the 6800 for Sprint sometime this fall.

Related Software
- OggSync is a nifty utility that syncs your mobile over the air with your Google Calendar. If you buy it, it's sort of expensive, but the free version syncs just fine (manually) and supports most features.
- WMWifiRouter which is a convenient way to implement your phone as an Internet facing Wireless AP. You can do this without the software, this just makes it easier.
Power Options
The default battery for this phone is a 3.7v, 1350mah LiIon battery. Starcom also makes Extended Battery (1800mAh) which bulges a bit out the back of the phone. A number of other manufacturers, including Sedio make batteries of the same (extended) size, with capacities up to 3200mah.
