This is a list of all of the random places I've found, both online and in meatspace, to buy things. No guarantees that I've actually bought something from each of them, but if they're here, they're at least someplace I'll price-shop.
Comics
Below is a list of the various web comics I read. Most of them update daily, or at least a few times a week.
- Questionable Content
- XKCD - A webcomic of romance, sarcasm, math, and language.
- Homestar Runner - Strongbad Emails

Books
- Amazon
- Books...And everything else.
- Bookpool - Great prices on tech books, but shipping can be expensive if you're just ordering one. (Who orders just one book anyhow?)
Deals
- Woot - One Day, One Deal (though not always a fantastic price...)
- DealSquared - Deal Squared is another woot-like site, except with 2 choices daily.
- EjectIT - The price goes down periodically until the item sells out.
Meta Deals
These sites don't necessarily have their own deals, but syndicate deals from other sites.
Tools
- EReplacementParts.com
- Harbor Freight Tools - Good Cheap stuff... They have a retail store as well.
- Northern Tool - Used to be a big catalog house, but isn't so relevant anymore. As much a farm supplier as a shop supply place.
Technology
Computers
- NewEgg - Great prices on gear that plugs in.
- Geeks.com - New and refurb'd computer hardware.
- Surplus Computers - Random computer hardware and software, cheap.
Electronics
- BG Micro - Tons of components, some surplus/pulls too.
- Carl's Electronics - A good selection of basic kits and tools, cheap.
- Happ Controls - Arcade machine components, joysticks, buttons, etc
- SitePlayer.com - This place sells Ethernet to Serial bridges; Not cheap but fairly unique. I think Digi builds such an animal, but this device is aimed at the hobbyist.
- SuperBrightLEDs.com - The name says it all. Cheap too!
Home Theatre
- Xantech - Video Switchers, Home Automation, Infrared Repeaters, etc
Surplus
- MECI - Surplus, with an electronics tilt
- American Science & Surplus - More random surplus (Also with an electronics focus)
