As with anything anymore, I should probably say here that hardware can be hazardous to your health. If you don't know what you're doing, you probably shouldn't be doing it. If you do, thats your choice, just don't blame me if you fry yourself or your equipment. Feel free to ask me with any questions.

Input

The X2 has an interesting assortment of input options. Composite and S-Video inputs are located on the back of the unit, as is Infocus' proprietary M1 connector. This connector looks like an over-complicated DVI plug, but alas, it is not. Infocus does, however, sell a variety of analog and digital M1 adapter cables. At the time of writing, the VGA+USB cable is the default.

My first priority for the X2 was to get component video in from my DVD player. Now, Infocus sells a Component to M1 adapter for about $30. That really didnt serve my purpose though, as I really wanted to be able to easily switch VGA and component. It turns out that the X2 accepts component video on the same pins of the M1 connector as the RGB lines of VGA. Therefore, all I had to do was make a 3xRCA-M to HD15f adapter cable. I'll post photos and schematics soon.
